McDonald’s announced in May 2024 that it will step up deals and value messaging to fight the sales slump. Many customers have decided to eat out less due to the inflation, and this will likely be felt by fastfood chains this year.
So my Big Mac-loving friends, you can expect more exciting deals from Mickey D’s this year. In fact, I just checked the McDonald’s app now and I see some pretty good deals. I’ll discuss them in detail in this post.
McDonald’s Deals Available Right Now
If you haven’t downloaded and used the McDonald’s app yet, it’s high time that you do. Otherwise you’ll miss out on so many deals. You see, many of the discounts and deals can be found in the app. Sure you can find some deals in-store and at the drive-thru. But in my experience, they seem to be more visible in the app.
Yes, for some reason, McDonald’s encourages more and more people to purchase in-app instead of in-store. Why? I have no idea.
Let me show you some examples of McDonald’s deals I’ve seen over the last two weeks:
Free Big Mac
You can get a free Big Mac when you download and use the app for the first time with a minimum purchase of $1.
Free Large Fries
Get a free Large Fries when you download and use the app for the first time with a minimum purchase of $1.
Free Fries Friday
On Fridays, you can get a free Medium Fries with a $1 minimum purchase when ordering from the app.
$2 Breakfast Sandwich
Order a breakfast sandwich such as a sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle or McMuffin for only $2. I heard some locations would get a $1 deal on breakfast sandwich – lucky!
$0.99 Coffee
If you love good quality coffee then you know a $1 cup is a steal these days.
$8 Shareables
The other day I saw an offer for 20 nuggets with 2 medium fries for just $7.99.
McDonald’s $5 Meal Deals
A lot of people are also looking forward to avail of the $5 Meal Deals from McDonald’s which will roll out later this month. The deal includes your choice of McDouble or McChicken deals + 4 piece chicken McNuggets, fries and a drink. This is a limited time offer, slated for just a month so once it’s available, act fast!
Free 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets
This is a statewide offer only, applicable to McDonald’s restaurants in Delaware. So apparently, the offer is that for every time the Phillies win, you will get a free 6-piece chicken McNuggets. All you have to do is to download the McDonald’s app and sign up for their rewards program. Under the Deals tab you will see a code for the free McNuggets (if they won the night before), add it and place a minimum order of $2 to avail the promo.
$12 Dinner Box
A Texas mom recently went viral on TikTok after she posted a video of her ordering a $12 dinner box at the McDonald’s drive-thru. The box contained 2 cheeseburgers, 4 small fries, a 10-piece chicken nuggets and 2 Big Macs.
Before you head to McDonald’s and demand that they let you order the $12 dinner box, keep in mind that the availability of the dinner box varies by location. Some cities or states may have them, some do not. The price may also vary. For example, I’ve heard from a friend who lives in San Antonio that her local McDs have the Value Pack Plus for $14.99 which includes 4 Cheeseburgers, 20-piece McNuggets and 4 Medium fries.
However, some locations may have this offer for $18, $20 or more.

They’re usually location dependent. Our go to on the app is BOGOfree for quarter pounders, Bic macs, and 10 nuggets. Add in some large fries to share and it’s just $7 for two.

My local McD’s has a buy-two of double cheeseburger, six piece nuggets, or a small fry for $3.49. You can add a free any size fry with a minimum $2 purchase. So a large fry, double cheeseburger, and 6 piece for about $4 total. Good deal if you like that stuff.

McDonald’s has a 30% off like everyday over $10 on the app. Almost as if they just mark the regular price up 30% for people that don’t use the app.
